
Collin Power
A multifaceted musician equally at home on the organ bench and the stage, Collin Power is an active organist, conductor, and singer in the Washington D.C. and Baltimore areas. In his church music life, he is the Organist/Choirmaster at Church of the Ascension and St. Agnes, a historic Anglo-Catholic Episcopal Church in downtown Washington D.C., as well as the Assistant Chapel Organist and Accompanist at St. Alban's School and the National Cathedral School. Additionally, he assists at St. Elizabeth's Catholic Church in Rockville, MD, and at St. Andrew's Episcopal in College Park, MD. In his singing life he most recently performed the role of Owen Wingrave in Benjamin Britten's "Owen Wingrave" with the National Orchestral Institute, and sang as a member of the Opera Saratoga young artist program. A graduate of the University of Maryland, specifically the Maryland Opera Studio, where he received his Bachelor and Master's degrees, he is a passionate advocate for community music making in the D.C. area. Outside of his musical career, he enjoys obscure liturgical history, books about monks, long bike rides, and big band music.
